Rihanna at the Grammys, arriving in a super unexpected dress. It’s not about being just beautiful, because a lot of people are beautiful. What I really like are women where you never know, and you think, ‘What is going to be next?’ Rihanna’s signature look is that you never know the way she’s going to come. It’s something that’s truly amazing. I loved it that she jumped from the big ball gown, and she performed with the men’s jumpsuit. What I really like is someone that feels comfortable to jump into a T-shirt and jeans and to put a lipstick on, and then to just change and wear a gown, with exactly the same comfort of wearing that same kind of effortless attitude of wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Which lipstick would you pair with a gown, and which would you pair with a T-shirt? I would love to see super dark skin [tones] with pink lips. If you were late and I was waiting, and I had a piece of paper and a pen, I would sketch. I remember all my life me holding like a color or a pen or something, and when I was a kid I was always sketching. Sometimes my parents would say to me, “We would like it because you were just in a corner and just sketching.” Always, always. When I was a kid, my family lived in an old building in Rome where the roof was in wood, and I was looking through all the lines in the wood and I was having fun being busy with the lines and seeing in holes and pieces.
